A high-profile cop case just landed under John Scola's watch– but it's different from most of what you've probably seen in the news. After legally using medicinal cannabis to treat bipolar disorder and opioid addiction, officer Robert Cascalenda– who spent 12 years on the force and got his prescription approved– was arrested by the NYPD. The Department's mistreatment of Cascalenda landed him in a seven-day coma and more psychological distress after that. Now, with the help of Scola as his attorney, he's suing the NYPD.
